[The Straits Times] Pilot for data protection certification scheme launched in Singapore / [스트레이츠 타임즈] 싱가포르, 데이터 보호 인증 제도 파일럿 시작 관리자 2018년 07월 30일

An open call for companies to join a pilot for data protection certification was launched in Singapore by IMDA and PDPC. Entities certified under the Data Protection Trustmark (DPTM) scheme will be able to use and display a DPTM logo in their business communications. This would give a competitive advantage to certified entities as it would allow consumers to identify organizations that have assessed data protection policies and practices. Meanwhile, The DPTM incorporates relevant international data protection principles such as the APEC Privacy Framework. This will allow organizations with the DPTM certification to more seamlessly attain international certification.
